The service
CharFab provides a private workspace for creators to build and test AI interactive experiences using characters, Personas, scenes, supported third-party model providers, and text or voice sessions. The open beta has a free bring-your-own-key workspace. The paid Creator plan, described on the pricing page, provides external MCP access for supported creator workflows. Free access will not automatically become a paid subscription. No guaranteed service level is offered during the beta.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for accurate account information, a secure password, and activity performed through your account.
Your model providers
CharFab is a bring-your-own-key service. You are responsible for your model provider account, fees, quotas, permissions, and compliance with that provider’s terms. CharFab is not responsible for provider availability, model output, or charges generated through keys you configure.
Your content
You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant CharFab the limited permission needed to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and secure the service. You must have the rights and permissions required for everything you submit.
Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. CharFab is for general-audience creative and conversational use and does not permit sexually explicit content. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service, or comply with law.
Beta changes and billing
Features may change, break, or be removed during the beta. We may apply rate and storage limits to protect reliability and prevent abuse. Creator is USD 9 per month and automatically renews each month until canceled. There is no annual plan and no automatic free-to-paid conversion. The final amount, including any tax charged by CharFab, cancellation process, and refund terms are displayed before payment authorization. A subscription requires your affirmative authorization at checkout; free access alone does not authorize a charge.
Third-party services
Model providers and other linked services are controlled by third parties. Their terms and privacy practices apply independently, and CharFab does not endorse or guarantee them.
Disclaimers and liability
The beta is provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent permitted by law. AI output can be inaccurate or inappropriate and must not be relied on for professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CharFab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from use of the beta.
Ending use
You may stop using CharFab at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, security threats, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the beta. Contact support if you need help requesting account deletion.
