The service
CharFab provides a private character-development workspace for creators, writers, and AI developers to create AI characters, Personas and scenes, connect supported third-party model providers, and test character behavior through text or voice conversations. The service is currently a free beta. No paid plan or guaranteed service level is offered.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for accurate account information, a secure password, and activity performed through your account.
Your model providers
CharFab is a bring-your-own-key service. You are responsible for your model provider account, fees, quotas, permissions, and compliance with that provider’s terms. CharFab is not responsible for provider availability, model output, or charges generated through keys you configure.
Your content
You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant CharFab the limited permission needed to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and secure the service. You must have the rights and permissions required for everything you submit.
Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. CharFab is for general-audience creative and conversational use and does not permit sexually explicit content. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service, or comply with law.
Beta changes
Features may change, break, or be removed during the beta. We may introduce usage limits to protect reliability. We will publish separate commercial terms before charging for storage, backups, API access, or any other feature.
Third-party services
Model providers and other linked services are controlled by third parties. Their terms and privacy practices apply independently, and CharFab does not endorse or guarantee them.
Disclaimers and liability
The beta is provided “as is” and “as available” to the maximum extent permitted by law. AI output can be inaccurate or inappropriate and must not be relied on for professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CharFab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from use of the beta.
Ending use
You may stop using CharFab at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, security threats, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the beta. Contact support if you need help requesting account deletion.
